Not exactly unhappy but not entirely happy either. Uruguay isn't so very far from here and it would be like having a home side in the final. I'm curiously eager for it all to be over and I'm not sure why. Silly season will follow hard on the WC's heels and that's only going to drive me insane.

While I probably will never click a link leading to "the Davids" or Torres/Random Spaniard slash, I do admire the perseverance and discipline of folks who can produce twenty chapters of said Spanish slash.

The creation of biztheinsane  this was one of my first LJ icons. This was soon after the keruffle French political disapproval and the Freedom Fries debacle. This icon tickles me even though I don't use it much anymore. I often wonder what form French wrath would take; would they deprive the rest of the world of fine cheeses, wine and Yoann Gourcuff?

Made by ladytalon this one celebrates the amazing Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, the creator of wonderfully fragrant potions like "Frumious Bandersnatch" and "Dragon's Tears." Fragrance is important to me and I ask myself that question everyday. Wearing perfume is about creating a fragrance portrait of my moods and desires of the moment not just misting on something that's current or trendy. And now I want to go order perfume samples...

This was made by jiatra and it's one of a set of "what likes beneath/expect the unexpected" icons. What could be more unexpected and incongruous than a mass of sunflowers lurking beneath an iceberg? It makes me think of old Enid Blyton stories where children would find doors into fairy worlds in ordinary places.

Mmmm, neck porn! The neck in question is Dr. Spencer Reid's, the youngest profiler on Criminal Minds. Reid is dishy and his neck is sexy! He's tossing back some preemptive Anthrax fighting meds because a disgruntled public policy student is using a new strain to express his disgruntledness. The meds don't work on the new strain and Reid ends up locked in a house with the new strain of Anthrax and the murdered scientist who created it. The looks between Reid and Morgan were intense! The cure is found and Reid wakes up in hospital to find Morgan sitting with him and eating jello. Made by meggy_rodriguez

* WEG * You know one of the reasons I love this icon? It reminds me of a series of icons done of the knights in the film King Arthur. Ambro wouldn't be a knight immortalised in song and rhyme, he'd be quietly in the background. But there is something patient and enduring in his expression and it speaks of a life devoted to duty and ideals. Great work calzamante  :D

It was the episode where Cartman drugs Butters with cold meds during a sleepover and takes a picture of himself with Butters' anatomy in his mouth. He takes the photo to his buddies to show how gay it makes Butters look but his friends inform him that it makes him look gay and stupid. Butters is tricked into saying he's Bi-Curious and ends up at a scared straight camp. Cartman ends up showing the photo during his class' Show and Tell.

I think I'm too young for South Park.

Btw, what is this March Madness crap and why is it getting in the way of new episodes of Criminal Minds?

Watching 16 and Pregnant has convinced me that birth control devices need to be implanted in both sexes once puberty begins. I'm honestly hoping that the show searches for the dumbest couples it can find to amp up the drama potential.

Law and Order SVU needs to resolve the Benson/Stabler UST. I have two suggestions: Elliot's wife divorces him, the woman's gotten the short end of the stick for years, and he and Liv slowly explore a relationship. Or Elliot gets very drunk and emo and sleeps with Liv who becomes pregnant. Liv takes some personal time when she finds out  - 2 months or so - and meets Mr. Right. Elliot realises the baby is his but steps back and lets Liv be happy with Mr. Right.

I'm wondering what it must be like to be a fan of a team like Cagliari where a draw or even a goal against a top side is cause for jubilation. When Milan wins I feel an overwhelming sense of relief. I long to feel joy again.

I'm terrified that our Sandro is going to retire. Who could blame him, really? More surgery, more recovery and rehabilitation and it's not like he's 20. I'm so sorry about Becks too; this injury rules out the WC for him barring a miracle.
