I'd completely fogotten about it. It's for the Orisha Baptists, I think, I should know more about it but I don't. *chastened look*
MILAN - Gazzetta dello Sport has published the thoughts of the Italy players on Paolo Maldini's possible return to the Azzurri. Christian Panucci: 'It is a delicate decision. Paolo has been great, whatever he decides will not change that. What would I do if I was him? Well, I'm not so I can't say but as I know him I think it would be difficult to return. However, Paolo has a positive attitude and we'll be content if he returns.' Massimo Oddo: 'Maldini is a great champion. He is an important person for Italian football and the national side and he would not have to earn his return but it is up to him.' Matteo Ferrari: 'No one would be offended if he came back but if he comes back then someone will have to drop out and they will be disappointed. However, Maldini is a well-known player everywhere and I don't think the squad would have a problem.' Marco Di Vaio: 'We would welcome him back with open arms.'. Gigi Buffon: 'Maldini is a man of the dressing room and charismatic so his return would be very important.' MILAN - Giovanni Trapattoni spoke to the media after Italy's training session at the San Siro and revealed he would discuss Paolo Maldini's return to the national side with the player. The Azzurri coach said: 'I have an appointment to speak to Paolo and we'll discuss his call-up but I have nothing else to say on the matter.'
How many times does the poor pet have to say no?
Nessie and Kaladze are training and getting fit once more *cheers* Nessie might be back this Sunday!
MILANELLO - Alessandro Nesta, who called back to the Carnago's complex for training today, spoke about his physical conditions and the possibility to recover in time for Sunday's game between Milan and Modena. He told Milan Channel: 'I feel almost good, I hope I can return to competitive action on Sunday. Tomorrow I will undergo a scan to check the situation, then from Wednesday I should be able to train with the team-mates.'
Sandro also dismissed the rumours that he has also had other treatment apart from Milan Lab. He said: 'I've always been treated here like all my team-mates, I was just unlucky to get injured more than the others.'
A comment upon the draw with Chievo and the rest of the season: 'On Sunday we almost suffered a setback, but I think it is quite normal after many games with the same players. In defence the coach was forced to make some choices, now I hope to return to make someone else rest. In the next games we must try to draw the sums and clinch some important results. It is a delicate moment, it is up to us to re-open or close the title race.'
Last word about a possible return of Paolo Maldini to the National team. He said: 'Paolo knows very well that we would be glad to have him back because he is important for us. The final decision is up to him, nobody can choose better than him.'
Totters is, apparently, not going to Inter, not going to Juve and not going to Madrid, haven't heard about Chelski yet. I want him to stay with Roma, entirely for selfish reasons, I don't think he'd provide half as much wank and entertainment anywhere else and he wouldn't be in the tight Roma shirt!
