SANDRO IN THE LIMELIGHT
At least on March 19, Sandro will have to accept being in the limelight, it is his birthday after all. The Rossonero defender is always in the spotlight, but he usually turns up his nose, and in his humble stye he timidly says: 'In front of so much praise I become embarassed.'
This is Alessandro's nature. It may not be detectable on the pitch, when with his elegant and punctual clearances he demoralises even the toughest opponents, but away from the all the action on the pitch, Sandro does his utmost to escape and maintain a low profile. His character makes him rebel against the star system, he is the first to keep the team compact in the dressing-rooms and the last to look for fame and notoriety. He has everything to make the jet-set starlets turn pale: handsome, robust, famous, with a face of a the boy-next-door that wins over everyone. Other values are a priority to Sandro's life: family, love, friends. The joy of his life is not only linked to football. Alessandro Nesta will just concede us to underline that since he joined Milan his presence has changed much at the club, because on the pitch, with him in the middle of the defence, life is quite different. Happy birthday, Alessandro, extraordinary player and real champion.
