I'm still waiting to hear how all the millions assigned to education are going to be spent this year. It's fairly useless having the money without a decent plan. It's the same song and dance with the health budget. I'm praying we can get through the next year without a doctor or teacher strike. I've been getting hints lately that I'd make more regular money if I went into teaching. That's a nice thought but I know I'd make a terrible teacher, I'd be so nervous I'd overcompensate and be bitchy. Tutoring one kid or a few is easier and less of a strain on my limited supply of patience.

I'm going to have to get the dog spayed. The vet told me that tick fever isn't something that goes away, it will lie dormant in her system waiting for another chance to strike. Her heats will compromise her system and I don't want to put her through that. Grumbles about people who couldn't be bothered to detick their puppies. At least this way she'll avoid another false pregnancy. I think I really may have to marry the vet to cut down on costs. I've only had Azzurri six months and she's been to the vet's four times. Not cheap!
