Much Ado About Nothing.

diemmeI don't want my MTV...take it away and give me MTV2 or Noise Bazaar or that cheesy MorMusic channel!!!! Just no more stupid MTV reality dramas pleassseeee.
It really wasn't a bad day. The post office let me know that my Nesta shirt had come in and I went to their outlet in the mall to collect it. Mum went with me. When I was a kid I could crawl the mall for hours and I couldn't understand why she hated it. Hee, when she used to take me shopping she'd have to have coffee before we left and immediately after arriving home.
Well now I hate the mall too! We had a definite plan, get the package, hit a cosmetics store for some Oil of Olay products then go to the grocery for cookies and Pedigree dogfood. We should be in and out within 20 minutes, right?
Wrong....cuz the evil capitalist mecca was filled with roving packs of rabid, little high schoolers. The kind that walk at a rate of an inch per half hour, staring 'round at the same stores they've seen a million times. My bad for going on a Friday afternoon I suppose.
I did buy myself a coconut scented candle...I'm obssessing on scents lately...and that was some consolation. There was a display/free sampling event for El Paso products on at the grocery and I tactfully put it to Mum that tacos were a healthy, easy, fun meal option for Dad. Dad's weight has mirrored Jim Morrison's through the years...from bone thin to...well...fat! He's just lucky he's tall.
That got me a long story about the last time we, as a family, ate tacos, 20 years ago to be precise (our Spanish heritage is Spanish and Venezuelan...no tacos there). Our Canadian dwelling relatives made them during a family vacation to Barbados (great little island for a vacation). My aunt made tacos one night for dinner and later on had an arguement with her husband (Not sure if the tacos formed the subject of the arguement or not). Apparently, the arguement ended on a dramatic note with my aunt storming out of the apartment and going to sleep on a deck chair beside the resort's pool. This prompted my mother to spend half the night persuading her to come back to the apartment...and if ever a woman loved her 8 hours it's my mother. The levels of crankiness she could descend to when sleep deprived still make me shudder today! I informed my mother that any woman who without the sense to get her husband to do the storming out during an arguement didn't deserve a comfortable bed! Nothing so lovely and malleable as a guilt ridden and contrite man slinking in after running out on you during a fight!!!!
Once I returned home the awful weather had cut out the cable and net for a bit. When it had cleared up I somehow found myself watching three straight episodes of Newlyweds on MTV, with Jessica Simpson and Whatzisname. Shudders in a bad way!
Now I'm sure Jessica Simpson is a talented pop star....I don't listen to that stuff so I wouldn't know. But OMG is she DUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She spends three quarters of the show wearing a glazed eyed "huh?" expression. You can literally hear the wind whistling through her head. She's the Christian Anna Nicole! And her husband is constantly insulting her...he's so bitter it's funny! Her career is huge while his is...well...and he resents it. I just hope someone had the foresight to draw up an ironclad prenup protecting her assets.
The Milan website is doing that stupid registration thing again, I hate it! So I just read the news on the main page. Apparently, one of the reasons Rivaldo is staying is that Maldini made a phone call to him and discussed staying with him.
Breaks to mentally shake Paolo while screaming, "Why Paolo? Why? You don't have to like everyone, remember Bilica?"
Anyway, in my mind Rivaldo is already gone, it's just a matter of time. Them Milan can take his salary and use it to buy another player...just grins at all the lovely possibilities. Perhaps a midfielder...I'm going to do some searching and see who I like. There was talk of them buying Trevelsie (sp) off Ajax.
Anyway, I'm off to bed. I'm all ready for the derby with my Nesta shirt and everything. Forza Milan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The husband is sooo evil, he's going to have his own E! Hollywood story in a few years after she divorces him and he descends into a life of addiction and stalking.
Crosses fingers for you, I hope you get to see it too. Recalls my year without Serie A. I only got to see Milan when the local "international" channel got the best game of the week from RAI.
