diemmeSighs, my dog is making me not want to have kids...ever. She's so much freaking work, I don't recall any of our other pets being this difficult. Yesterday she caught a rat! Thankfully it was almost dead from rat poison already. But she carried it around the garden and made us chase her to get it. Then I had to bathe her and wash her mouth out. Shudders.
We're having a few things done to our garden and the other day we got in a load of manure...yuck...for the flower beds. Of course the damn dog had to go digging in the stuff and come in the house smelling of shyte. Upshot? I had to give her another bath. I love the dog but sometimes I just can't stand her. Tonight she jumped up on the garden bench and got her foot caught between the slats of the seat. She yelped about it...loudly...and of course I had the damn maternal instinct and had to rush out and comfort her. It's a good thing she's so loving, her one redeeming feature.
