Juventus - Olympiakos (sp)

Juve one down so far. I have a funny feeling they'll be beaten or draw and each side will have a player sent off.

Edits.

Nedved has equalised, YAY! Zambrotta has cut off his hair, Bleh!

Treze-gone is offside...useless prat.

The Greek fans hate Zambrotta.

Juve defense rather sloppy.

Juve Win!

I'm glad too. I knew that Juve was by far the better team but they were away from home and the match had such a scrappy start that I worried tempers were going to flare. Milan's new habit of bitch slapping opponents every other game is having an effect on me.
They'll be sans Gattuso today but with Rivaldo...this worries me.

hee, i know...after the arsenal/man u debacle...i find myself fretting that games are going to get too scrappy, as well. when something starts i'm praying no one gets walloped or does anything silly. ;P

rivaldo is actually playing? huh. what a gong show that's been. honestly, i think you'll be better off without him when he leaves. then again, i'm not a very neutral judge of that, since i can't STAND him.

I think Rivaldo expected either
1) Milan would make a huge fuss and try to woo him back into the fold with a guaranteed first team place.
Or

2) The minute he announced his departure the big teams would be flocking round to sign him.

Of course, neither happened. I think Milan will keep him and play him a few times until January and then sell him to a respectable but not huge team. Then he can be the "star" player he wants to be. I don't think we need him either, he's good but Milan has so many players that are just as good or better, he'll be better off elsewhere.

yeah, i had a good chuckle at how little fuss there was made about him leaving, either by milan or by anyone else that could possibly get him. i was especially amused that he claimed to want to go to chelski, but then they said they didn't want him! doh.

Yep, I giggled when Chelsea said they were "full up" too. I think he'll go to Barca. It was funny watching him hug the whole team...maybe they were all celebrating internally that he was leaving.
