From the Guardian Unlimited...this was too much.

"The referee told us in no uncertain terms what was expected of us," said Alpay. "He made us shake hands and then hug each other. Then he told us we were too hot and needed to calm down.

"He made us drink a glass of water before we could leave. He was sweating so much himself. All I could see was steam rising off his bald head as if he were on fire."

Continues to zip 'round the room on my brand new computer chair; my back is so happy now!

Oh, the spirit of Paolo speaks through me now! That's all!

I have accepted...

That it is ok to look at shows like SL, FL and Camp Jim and point and laugh. We're all doing it! Somewhere, cheerleaders who talk about spirit sticks and are proud of making it through eighth grade and frat boys who think stealing pledges' undies is cool and grabbing their own balls is a sign of respect are laughing at people like me. We're all a part of the circle of life; ain't it grand?

The active sisters on SL take themselves too seriously though. I think they'd break if they ever tried to laugh. But now I'm jealous; I want to be in an organisation that has secret, sacred rituals too. :( Psi Chi and AKD don't have any secret, sacred rituals! Wanders off to form the Church of Paolo Maldini and become the high priestess. As his spirit speaks through me and all.

Today I went to "Price Smart" (a sort of Sam's Club) with two friends. It's an hour's drive away and ten minutes in the rainstorm from hell broke upon us. We pulled over to wait for a bit; we couldn't see a thing ahead of us. My friends kept squealing about the storm. I wasn't interested in finding out how long I could listen to them squeal in an enclosed space before snapping and gagging them with their own hair. So I suggested we talk about something else. The conversation inevitably turned to the Champions League. One of my friends is a huge Paolo fan, like me, so we started gabbing about him. The other wouldn't recognise a football if one fell on her, eventually she got bored and then she got pissy. Finally she looked at me and snapped: "Ok, I get it! Maldini's spirit is speaking through you."

We couldn't help it; at the time it was bloody funny and we just exploded! We laughed all the way to the store, the whole time in the store and on the way home again.

I did get lots of lovely stuff. Little materialist that I am! A new computer chair; the most basic one they had but my back appreciates the support, some drawstring sleep pants; they only had large so they are a bit roomy but I love them.
Some recordable CDs, Garnier Fructis shampoo, cranberry juice, Taster's Choice coffe and christmas lights also made the trip home with me.

Legolas is the man for you. Someone wise in the way
of the world, but someone fresh and young as
new rain. A graceful man that bends with
adversity rather than breaking.

Sighs...but I want Elrond!

You represent... hope.
You represent... hope.
You're quite a daydreamer and can be a hopeless
romantic. You enjoy being creative and don't
mind being alone at times. You have goals, and
know what you want in life... even if they are
a little far fetched.

What feeling do you represent?

Hmmm, guess my inner child beat down my cynicism again.
